Artist History
From the Icy Coast" began in the fall of 2000 after
Howie Sennet spent the previous year writing, recording, and
co-producing the debut album "End of the Line".
"After spending the later part of the 90's writing
and playing music for the band "Sixty Cycle Hum"
to packed clubs in Seattle, I decided it was time
to move on to something challenging and fresh,
while creating a whole new line-up with the exception
of guitarist Troy Fleischauer (also of Sixty Cycle Hum).
The music from "the Coast" actually began a couple
of years ago in a loft space near the waterfront in
Pioneer Square (Downtown Seattle) where I spent all
of my time writing, recording, and producing new songs.
This full length album was completely lost due to a hard
drive failure. A year passed where I focused on my other band
(Sixty Cycle). There was a eally difficult time and needed to write
another album in order for me to move "the Coast" project forward. So
this is actually a second album, in which I feel a lot better about
the music, but nothing sucks quite a like a hard
drive crashing, and loosing over a year's worth of
music (not to mention many missed chances to leave my
loft space). The website is under way, along with more
tracks coming soon."
