Artist History
So there's a bunch of us - Kristi, Neal, and Rob - playing in a Mage game run by Mr. Floyd. Hanging out and basically being cool together. Semi-independantly, Mr. Miller was hashing out a Stones song with Mr. Gamache - and Mr. Floyd was jamming on drum. Then one night, after a beastly Mage session, Mr. Miller came over and hung out - somehow the idea of being a bnad occured and we all dutifully tromped over to KAGU and in a closet/recording space we laid down a few covers (live of course): "Sympathy for the Devil" and the classic "That's Evolution" form Wally Pleasant. As well as a short improvised instrumental we immediatly named "Jasper's Dragon" - Who remembers why anymore? Winter break came and went, and Fish For Breakfast all returned refreshed and pumped about this new sound. So every week, a group of GU students under stealth of night would take over the large practice room in the basement of the Music Building. We would write tunes and hang out. Eventually we co-opted The Cube, the media services truck, and all the equipment contained therein to record the short live album "I Don't Think So" in one night. Things happend, people graduated, and the band faltered and eventually perished. Eventually Ms. Tardi, Mr. Durbin, Mr. Floyd, and Ms. Yarnot (Durbin) formed an offshoot group - Warehouse: Mercury. |
