Artist description
Elevator's sound is a lush fusion of dubbed-out trip hop & organic drum & bass. The group combines traditional instruments with a variety of "techo-toys" to create a nice blend of electronica. The experimental elements of Elevator's music are backed up with addictive melodies, moody vocals and thought provoking lyrics. |

Artist History
Elevator was formed in 1998. Since then, two recordings have been produced. The first was a two track demo titled Elevator 001. Both songs from this demo received local radio airplay and reached No. 1 on one station. The debut album "MUSIC" (11 tracks) has just been recorded at Revolver Studios in Auckland, and is due for release in December 2000. With 3 gigs secured at Parachute 2001 (NZ's largest weekend festival) and an overseas tour in the pipeline, the future seems bright for Elevator. |
