    Artist History
Six years ago, I hooked up with Devo drummer, Alan Myers and started a band that stayed together three years. During that first year, I was also fortunate to work with engineer, Jon Ingoldsby (Elton John, Madonna), and we produced a song of mine called "Pearl". Based on that song and my voice, it landed me a demo deal with A & M Records. Around that same time, I met Producer/Mixer Extraordinaire, Chris Lord-Alge (Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Bruce Springstein and many others) who came to several shows before approaching me to work with him... In 1998 I got my song "Pearl" placed in a Dom Deluise/Peter Deluise film called "Between The Sheets". That same year, my three year relationship with my band broke up so I decided to take the rest of that year off to write and record. For the next two years, I worked on what I am now calling "the famous four" songs because it took them so long to get finished and because some very talented producers/engineers and musicians in one way or another contributed their magic on the famous four. So, I know you want to know who worked with me on these... :) Mike Clink (Guns and Roses); Tal Herzberg (Beth Hart); C.J. DeVillar (Michael Jackson, Sisqo); Michael Woodrum (Queen LaTifa, The Neptunes); not to mention the talented musicians who worked on them with their own list of credits of artists they've worked with. By the way, those particular songs are entitled "Risk", "Naked", "Perfect Girl", "Say What You Mean". In addition to the "Famous Four" and "Pearl" are the rest of my songs which have their own story in their birthing process so, enjoy them as well... They are unique and special in their own way. I get alot of feedback on all of the songs from the various tastes that are out there. There is something for everyone... Sometimes the process was frustrating for one reason or another. And yet, being able to get into a studio to record is very exciting for me. I like to think of that process as painting with sound. My musical journey has been just that, a journey - not a destination. My songs are my children, each having their own personality (as all children do). They are descriptive, poignant, textural, multifaceted, rhythmic, tongue and cheek, sensual and haunting. My boundless gratitude for all the love and support along my path of musical exploration. Much Love... Deborah
