Artist History
SLAVERY came to existence in the northern east side of Paris in the middle of 1996 and started with a whole different line-up than the current one in a way more " Hardcore " pattern. Erwann (guitar) is the only one who survived throughout the years and was joined by Guillaume (guitar) in september of 97 as a bass player. In april of 98, the band recorded two songs for the Rise Records compilation " Paris Rising " released in may of 99 as a four-piece with Erwann performing both guitar and vocals because of line-up problems. Later on Guillaume took the guitar after the guitarist's departure and the band kept on writing songs desperately searching for musicians during eight months… as a three-piece ! Then in the summer of 99 the band got strengthened by the arrival of Raphaël on vocals (he used to be the first SLAVERY's bass player) and Morgan on bass coming from the parisian death metal band Ad Mortem. Shortly after, Pierre Yves (drums), coming from Desecrator and Petrified (grindcore and brutaldeath bands), joined the band right away after the drummer eventually decided to part. Since then the brand new line-up has been rehearsing the whole year and played a few shows in Paris, suburbs and the north of France. The band entered studio and recorded a five songs MCD " To Sedate Agony " thall shall be out by the end of the summer. SLAVERY intend to play as many shows as possible wherever we can so if you need somebody to burst your pit, check us out !!! |
