Artist description Rusted Sun has a sound that can only be described as introspective and beautiful, yet punctuated with bouts of aggression and drive that, as a whole, makes for a dark, engrossing listen. You just don't hear the music, you feel it. We could go on and on about what we sound like, but all it takes is a few minutes to download our songs and feel the anguish and despair.

Artist History Rusted Sun is a unique listening experience born of the talents of musician/songwriter/lyricist Todd Russell. As early as 1994, Todd joined with drummer Keith Ackerman (who now plays in Atomic Bitchwax) to pen a series of songs that would begin to take shape and change over the years. In 1999, Todd enlisted the mixing talents of Jhon Ackerman, and began recording his songs at The Recording Zone. With Keith laying down a steady drumline, Todd performed all of the guitar, bass, and vocals. Cognizant that the music could benefit from the expansive nature of keyboards, Todd asked Ryan Henry of Doom/Death metallers Necare to fill in with keyboard duties. The demo was completed in 1999, under the moniker LOVE UNDER WILL, a name chosen to reflect the band's strong affinity for the music of Fields of the Nephilim. The first song off of the demo "One Purpose" premiered on Farmclub.com in February 2000. In the months following the tracks debut, the Demo received positive feedback. Lineup changes occurred and currently the band consists of Todd on Drums, Bass, and Vocals; Toby on Guitar; and Ryan on Guitar and Keyboards.
