Artist description
A powerful voice erupting from a small slip of a woman is Rachel's claim-to-fame. From the crooning sweet and yearning to the hurt and angry, her voice texturizes and drives her emotionally-laden songs. Heartfelt and meaningful lyrics draped over rhythmic instrumentation lead the listener through sensual images and stories of love and loss. |

Press Reviews
declared "easily Charleston's best voice" in The Charleston Free Time, April, 1999 .......................................... ................................................... Last Friday, Little Pieces played to a packed house at a downtown club called the Warehouse ... Rachel and the boys were first on the bill for a three-band musical orgy that included Candiass and Starless. The sound system was great, and the band had a great opportunity to strut their stuff to a whole new crowd. Rachel was in outstanding form as usual, and the Warehouse's excellent audio crew found space in the mix to showcase Bobby and Mike's tight rhythm section work. With everything from melodic, emotion-rich originals like "I Want it All" and "Comfort," to upbeat cover tunes - including a crowd-pleasing, rocked-out version of Gloria Gaynor's immortal disco anthem "I Will Survive" - Little Pieces won over a packed house, and set the bar high for the acts that followed. -independent review by Alexander Fox |
