Artist History
Petunia has been playing in and around Toronto’s streets and bars fro 4 years now. You may also run into him in the Toronto Subway System where he has been part of the subway buskers program for 3 years. He has just come off a summer Prairie tour where he played in Saskatoon, Herbert, Regina, Winnipeg, and Sudbury.He plays country, country swing, country blues, rock, blues, folk, bluegrass covers from the last one hundred years to the present as well as his own “Original” material.He has been hosting a weekly ‘Don River Jamboree’ for over 3 years now. Currently, the jamboree happens every Sunday night at Ted’s Barcode, 549 College Street West, from 10 pm. It features Petunia playing guitar and singing as well as a variety of guest musicians. In the past it’s been a stage for fiddlers, accordionists, drummers, washboard players, electric & acoustic guitarists, pedal steel players, mandolin players, slide guitar players, stand-up and electric bass players, autoharp players, harmonica players, banjo players, dobro players, trumpet players, clarinet players, singers and more singers… and still the list gets longer every week.
