    Artist History
    It’s in Boston that Nicolas formed the " Meier Group " when he met the Brazilian drummer Juliano Zanoni. Then joined the Uruguayan pianist Jose Reinoso and the Americo-French bassist Ben Zwerin. Two years later, the Swiss saxophonist Alex Hendriksen took part of the band.A demo CD named " Solitude " is recorded in November 1995 followed by their first CD called " 7 la vie " recorded in 1997. Their latest released called " The Past is Gone " is recorded in 1999 and features the American saxophonist Bill Evans and the Swiss trumpet player Matthieu Michel.The band did numerous Summer tours in all Switzerland, in Italy and in France (Jazz Parade in Fribourg 1995, 1997 (opening for Bill Evans) and 1999 (opening for Elvin Jones), Jazz Parade in Payerne 1996 and 1999 (opening for Thierry Lang), Jazz Parade in Bulle 1998, Montreux Jazz Festival 1996, 1998 and 1999), Balelec Festival 1997, Jazz in Vienne 1997, Jazz in Juan-les-Pins (opening for Ray Charles), Jazz-Rock on the Top Morgins 1998 and 1999, Festival of Geneva 1999...). They also gave regular ensemble workshops in Fribourg (CH).
