Artist History
Cafe is the band that brings the all new style of 'SLANG' an original Latin Rock Blues music: Founder Ruben Burciaga was musically inclined at writing and performing throughout his musical career. One of his first groups was called "Movida", taken from the Chicano movement. He relocated to Chicago where he gain tremendous insights to the foundation of a new sound, he termed "SLANG". His inspiration spiraled him back to his creative roots. This style of music he calls, music and spirit of the people. Therefore it becomes a musical expression of Spanish and English. The CD/Nacimiento was released in the summer of 1999. Las Cruces and El Paso areas have played and recieved Nacimiento through their airwaves. "Cafe" is a movement of it's times, it symbolizes unity, strength and spirit. "Music is universal, it's a world of it's own." "When played from your heart and soul, it's everlasting." "Never stop dreaming." Que viva el movimiento hermanos! |
