Artist History vevek ram is a self taught sitar player influenced mainly by Pt. Ravi Shankar and Pt. Nikhil Bannerjee. He also greatly admires younger players like Krishna Bhatt, Shujaat Khan, Shaid Parvez, Sanjoy Bandopadhyay, partho bose etc. I have spent a few weeks under the tutelage of Ustad Shamim Ahmed Khan.Vevek Ram is a Professor of Computer Science, has a phd in AI and is currently pursuing a second phd in automated composition.
