Artist History
The history behind The Statik Sound would have to date back from what originally came to be through other projects relating from Dustin J. Albright. From beginning around 1999, his effort of "Damaged" was taken into consideration for future project, when he combined the creation of Damaged, with the atmosphere of "concentrik", it resulted in a major flow of something that would become more. Although all of the original traces of the song "Damaged" are lost and untracable, it lives on through the "in theorie mix". Down the line more tunes were devised and placed exclusively on an album entitled "Damaged" for mp3.com. It wouldn't be until January of 2000 that The Statik Sound would create another song, which was written for "Painless Aeon" and another remix "Damaged: The Ressurection", placing the darkwave feel on Damaged. Months and many songs later, TSS removed all indencies of the "Damaged" 4-song album, and re-released it, excluding one track, and adding many new others, including 2 more Damaged remixes. Dustin, approriatly, named the album "Damaged: 2", to continue the original as a sequal of sorts.
It was released for a short period of mp3.com until taken down to work on new ideas and release a different and better approached album. Between February and September of 2001, The Statik Sound began recordings on their future concept album, entitled "Harness". Coming in a different style, that was devised only through break-beats, and synthesizers, rather than all tracking that was done on the previous 2 EP's. The, yet, un-officially released album promises to delight many electronic fans alike, from Trance to Techno, to Ambiant. Harnesses spacey, yet driving speed tracks tell a story all of it's own. The concept design was initially placed to devise a future musical theme, that has not been placed into the works, and it not planned to be as of it. Going 3 years, and ready to submit itself to the world, The Statik Sound brings you, the Harness album, currently only available through mp3.com ... for now... |
