The Princeton Tigertones are an all-male a cappella group, founded in 1946 at PrincetonUniversity. The group, which presently consists of fifteen members, has performed atconcert halls, hotels, social clubs, and schools all over the world from The Breakers in PalmBeach to Boscobel Beach Resort in Jamaica, to New York's Carnegie Hall, as well asaboard Cunard's flagship, Queen Elizabeth II. In addition to weekly on-campusperformances, the Tigertones keep busy throughout the year with week-long tours inOctober, January, and March, traveling from the Caribbean to the ski-slopes of Vermont orthe beaches of Los Angeles. In 1987, the 'Tones crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, establishing a biennial tradition of touring in Europe and Asia. Our music samples styles andtastes in American pop music from 1940s jazz to doo-wop, Broadway, and rock and roll. From Duke Ellington to Van Morrison to the Beatles, the Tigertones are rarely at loss for asong to sing. |
