Artist History
Formed in Summer of 1997 when Mike & Rob started playing regular open mic nights at the Winedale Tavern in Dallas, TX. One day they got the bright idea to record their own CD in a living room that would eventually become TanCow Studios. The first CD, Living in Gin, was released Christmas of '98 to a rambunctious crowd at an exclusive party held at the very studios where the boys recorded it. Kenny was later added in the Spring of '99 for the recording of the second CD EP, Hidin' A Fifth. This CD release party was another spectacular display of drunkeness and debauchery held at the Winedale Tavern August 22, 1999. Steve Hazel, formerly of College Station's Last Call, sat in with the band for various tunes and a good time was had by all. The Tanqueray Cowboys have been on hiatus since April 2000, but are expected to return to TanCow Studios soon to start work on their 3rd CD, tentatively entitled "The Bean-dip Catastrophe" |
