Artist History
After nearly a decade of songwriting in the Washington DC area, Dan Sheridan has recently relocated to take part in the unique Austin music scene. After several years performing with various east coast groups, Dan's first Solo effort "Last Chance to Do Nothing" was recorded near Berklee college of music in Boston in late 1998. The result is an eclectic blend of melody driven, intelligent, rock weaved around an acoustic center. Lyrically and musically influence by artists such as Paul Simon, Counting Crows, David Wilcox, Sting, Peter Gabriel and Toad the Wet Sproket, Dan aspires to closely intertwine the lyrics and the music such that a song's meaning can be ascertained when looking at from a purely musical or purely lyrical perspective. |
