Artist History Dan Katz grew up in Newtown, Pennsylvania, a distant suburb of Philadelphia. After a (very) short stint leading a power trio called Viciously Nice, Dan cut a low-tech solo acoustic record, Perigee, in the summer of 1999. Dan is currently studying at MIT, and assembling material for a second CD, hopefully to be released in 2001.
