Artist History Christ UMC supports many mission ministries throughout the year. These ministry opportunities take place for the most part through the Adult and Children’s Sunday School Classes, the Methodist Men’s and Women’s groups, and within the Youth Ministries programs. These efforts support local, national and international mission projects. They include such activities as collecting food, clothing, household items and school supplies for those in need; buying special need gifts at Christmas in the name of someone special to you (Alternative Christmas); participating in an Americorps summer reading program for local 1st - 5th graders; repairing homes and building links with urban churches as part of the Conference’s Vision 20/20 Amigos Days; Youth mission trips (APPA) in the summer to build and repair structures in underdeveloped areas; sending mission teams to Bolivia through Andean Rural Health Care; and giving of our money at Christmas and Easter to support United Methodist mission outreach ministries.
