Artist History
Belton has been in the music industry for a while. He took a hiatus for a few years but has come back out of hiding. In the past he had released a techno album with his good friend Darren Burgos called "Digital Penetration." Darren, as a side note, used to also work with Paul Rijnders pre-Anything Box. Belton used to work with Formula One Studios owned by producuer Jon St. James where the bands Berlin, Red Flag, Anything Box, Bardeaux and Stacy-Q started. He has worked on a Stacey Q remix. And recorded a song with Acacia from Bardeaux. Through Jon St. James he was also choosen to be the new keyboardist for Berlin. Except Belton had left Los Angeles and moved to San Francisco. Shortly after that Terri Nunn decided to take Berlin into a garage band sound. The upcoming album "Guilty Pleasures" will include the following tracks (subject to change): 1)This Crazy World (Without You) 2)Stay 3)(Don't) Say You Love Me 4)There's No Place Like Home 5)Passing Images 6)Will I Ever Smile Again? 7)Here I Stand 8)Out Of The Blue 9)Picture Perfect World 10)Guilty Pleasures 11)Bonus Track (TBA) |

Press Reviews
"-in Belton's dark synth-ballad "Guilty Pleasures" an overwhelming sense of melancholy comes across in the first synth strains. Songs that deal with pain, loss and helplessness at the hand of AIDS will automatically strike at the heartstrings; but this song deals with the intense theme of survivor guilt. Belton's haunting vocals, beautifully arranged with synth, are almost narcotic. We don't want to turn it off, despite its gnawing at our soul." -- Radio Stonewall. |
