Artist History
Childhood friends Mark Boone and Richard Martin starting writing songs at 11 years old. In their ten years writing together they wrote over five hundred songs. They performed in theatre as teenagers touring throughout Eastern Canada. Before they were done highschool they had started their own production company doing theatre tracks and radio jingles. Joseph Versace a friend from highschool became the main lyricist of the act. Their first album "In Fear Of K" was a success scoring two radio singles "If This Is Goodbye" and "Who Fooled Who". Over the next few years two more albums were recorded but the band fizzled out. In 1993 Mark called it quits and moved to London to study with producer Jack Richardson(The Guess Who, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger). Mark and Joseph still write and perform as "boone"(see www.offshoremusic.com). There has been talk of Richard playing on the next boone album. Time will tell. |
