Artist History Redz started as a local DJ in Baltimore in 1994. He then began producing and rapping in 1996. In 1997, Redz began operating his own record label entitled "BlackWax Entertainment." Due to copyright disputes over the label's name, he was forced to change it. He then opened "Heated Records" in 1999 and began distribution of his first single "What The Name Be" in the fall of 2000. During the summer of 2000, Redz went on tour as a DJ for mainstream artists such as Sisqo, Ginuwine & Nelly, and has also done production for R&B artists such as Mya and Sole. In the Spring of 2001, Redz released "Untouchable," a Baltimore club music compilation which is currently making history as the hottest club CD ever released; gaining sales in over 10 states on the east coast and steadily climbing. His current projects include the production of an east coast rap compilation album, the release of female club DJ Mysterious and rap artist Kurakazi Majeed. Redz has also worked as an intern with Ruff Ryders under Swizz Beatz. Currently, Redz is working out a production deal with Universal Records and is promoting his newest single "Live & Direct."
