Press Reviews
(Metal Rules! Magazine)When the gang at Kalubone Records asked if I hadreviewed it yet I knew I had to. I didn't notice when I 1st looked atthe CD that it said "Featuring Ron Rinehart ex-DARK ANGEL on vocals".Now that peeked my interest. Ron's vocals which have never been the bestin the business and I'm sure he's aware of it have improved 200%. Heactually gets a bit of melody in there in points but he's at his bestwhen he's raging and he rages all over this bad boy. The music of coursewill remind you of DARK ANGEL but also of MACHINE HEAD, PANTERA andalthough rooted in the 80's this is a 90's CD. Most of the speed of themusic runs midpaced amd chuggin with interspersed guitar solos of totalclass shredding on top all while Ron preaches his lyrics right hard andin your face. What? Rewind, Jeff? What did you write? Yes,it's true. This is a Christian band. I didn't have any idea until I opened up theCD booklet and saw that the first thanks was to Mr. Jesus Christhimself! Then I read the lyrics and knew. It didn't take away from themusic nor the fact that these dudes are one scary a** looking bunch thatwill kick you’re a** for the lord. What was especially cool is that thislabel doesn't play on the fact this a Christian band. |
