Artist History
Emerald Fire is the Brain Child of Craig Denham. It is the name given to Craig's various projects with other musicians. Craig is a multi-instrumentalist/composer and is a full-time self-employed musician. He has composed and performed in a wide variety of styles including, Celtic, Rock, Reggae, Latin, Jazz, Classical, New Age, Ambient and World/Folk. Instuments played inlude, piano, keyboards, accordian, drum kit, percussion, tin whistle, low whistle, guitar and bodhran. Craig currently performs with local Irish Band "The Blacksmith Band" whilst also pursuing his own original music in his home studio with other musicians as needed. Craig is often found attending local Irish sessions in Auckland. Craig began performing at age 12 and took a break from this in 1992 to pursue his own indepth researches into the music of different cultures and times together with the spiritual/esoteric side of music. Within this extensive research such diverse things as music for healing, music for causing elevated states of consciousness, colour music, sacred dance music, even music for growing tomatoes were experimented with. In November 2000 Craig decided it was time to start sharing his music with the world once more. |
