Artist History
The Cedar Creek Bluegrass band is a band founded deep in the traditions of bluegrass music. Like turning on your radioand finding WSM circa 1950, Cedar Creek puts forward a traditional bluegrass sound following in the footsteps of Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, The Johnson Mountain Boys and more. The band's foundation is hard driving bluegrass, but their musical influences cover a wide range both within and outside of bluegrass. This range of influence allows the Cedar Creek Bluegrass Band to create a unique hard driving style of bluegrass while leaving more than adequate room for musical experimentation. Only in their 8th month playing together, Cedar Creek has been recognized as the hottest young bluegrass band to jump on the scene in Chicago. |
