Artist History BIG LED has been on the underground rap scene in the South for about 6 years, but not always as a solo artist. In the summer of 94' he helped create a group called Mo'tension. The group went on to record their first album in the summer of 96' which had some limited success doing shows mostly in the Mobile-Pensacola market opening for acts like Jagged Edge and UGK to name a few, but due to bad business deals Mo'tension failed to get off the ground. Seeing he needed a change, and a more educated view into the record industry BIG LED decided to go solo. He began by first learning about the industry, "I read every book and article I could get my hands on and took the right steps as far as paperwork to make sure I did'nt get screwed again." Feeling he had learned enough to make a run at it, BIG LED decided to actually start writing and recording some solo joints. He also entered and placed 3rd in the SO SO DEF Regional Talent Search in mobile."That one contest gave me a great boost of confidence, being judge by one of the top A&R depts. in the business and proving myself to them let me know I was on the right track." After the contest BIG LED hooked with a local rap group called CAMP 5 (also on MP3.com) the group did shows mostly in North and South Florida and put out a CD in the local market of Pensacola, FL. and had some good response, but this time it was not bad business decision's but a difference in musical format that made BIG LED decide once again on pursuing his musical dream solo. Hooking up with a new producer "TITO" LED began creating new songs for his new upcoming EP entitled "OUTSIDE LOOKING IN".
