Artist description Maxwell Mage (rhymes with "stage") is a multi-instrumental songwriter/performer hailing from Ohio's Miami Valley area. Although he grew up locally, he spent many years in different parts of the country, including seven years in the San Francisco Bay area. There he drove a cab while "living the blues" in the ghettos of Oakland. He brings his gritty street experiences and insight to his music. He prefers to perform all the instruments on, as well as produce, his recordings. Considering himself a "musical alchemist", he likes to take different elements of rock, blues and funk to create his own unique blend of music he calls "Phat Phunkin' Rock 'n' Bluz". He is currently performing as a solo artist, combining state-of-the-art digital MIDI technology with live performing to become a modern-day one-man show.
