Artist History Edgar Cortazar began singing/composing regional music from the influence his Father and Grandfather inherited him. He has performed in numerous music festivals throughout Mexico and the United States. His professional background in the Grupero area started since 1987 when he began composing music for Latin Regional Artists with his brother Ernesto Cortazar and Juan Pablo Muņoz Ledo. After that, Edgar Cortazar moved to the United States to begin his professional career as a singer/composer. Edgar signed a contract with Maximo Aguirre Music Publishing and then recorded an album produced by this company who then got him a contract with WEA Latina. Due to the lack of support and promotion WEA Latina gave him, Edgar left that record label and now presents himself as an unsigned artist who believes in self-promotion through mp3.com as a much better way to reach popularity and economic revenue.
