Artist History The County Sheriff has been a member of the group ”BACKWOODS” for 5 + years. During this time he has written and co-produced all material for their five albums with hits entitled:Georgia (Whach Yall Know about Them Backwoods) on the album “I Got My Tapes Comin Out”(1994), Title song “Whats On Your Mind”, and “Buick, Chevies, Lacs” on the album “Whats On Your Mind”(1995), “I’m Not a Star”& “You Don’t Know Me” on the album “Jungle Troopers”(1997), “Southern Hospitality”& “BackWoods, BackWoods, BackWoods”on the album “Southern Hospitality”(1998), “Shorty What You Workin With” & Yippi -Ki- Yaa- Ya on the new album “Georgia Power”(2000).While performing with “BACKWOODS” the County Sheriff has opened for acts such as Master P, Cash Money, U.G. K., Destiny’s Child, OutKast & Trick Daddy. Now the County Sheriff is bringing his lyrical genius to the table with his solo album entitled ”Before the Club Close”. He has written and co-produced all songs on the album.
