Artist description
System Crash is a band that mixes the ambiance, flavors, and emotions of our digital world with the sounds of a loosely heavy-metal style of songs and instrumentation. We are interested in the impact of the Information Age on the way we think, live, act, and relate. The widespread use of electronic communication, particularly in the words of chatrooms, instant messages, web pages, site visits, purchases, and emails, leads to a separation of body and spirit and new ways of human interaction. As we move through this environment, we leave behind electronic traces that can be approached with equal ease by the curiosity seeker, the web searcher, and the malicious hacker. Songwriter Tomasz Imielinski's poetic interpretation of modern computerized life starts with a technically correct understanding of the situation. From there he constructs a world where fear, hope, love, hate, privacy, and exposure are touched by computerized humans and humanized computers in a networked world. |
