Artist description
Stü Art is a lo-fi, studio-only "trio." The band records only original material on very low level equipment and has developed a unique sound since its quiet formation in the summer of 1994. Originally mixing mostly spoken word lyrics with minimal instrumentation, they have gradually developed a more musical approach focusing on the musicianship of lead singer/guitarist james nickras. The third "member" of the group is a drum synthesizer affectionately referred to as Beau Casio. |

Artist History
Formed in 1994, the band began writing and recording material immediately. "Releasing" short albums to friends and family, the band gradually compiled a fair discography of recorded material. Recently, the band has recorded more sporadically due to college pursuits made by band leaders michael and james nickras.
