Artist description Stü Art is a lo-fi, studio-only "trio." The band records only original material on very low level equipment and has developed a unique sound since its quiet formation in the summer of 1994. Originally mixing mostly spoken word lyrics with minimal instrumentation, they have gradually developed a more musical approach focusing on the musicianship of lead singer/guitarist james nickras. The third "member" of the group is a drum synthesizer affectionately referred to as Beau Casio.

Artist History Formed in 1994, the band began writing and recording material immediately. "Releasing" short albums to friends and family, the band gradually compiled a fair discography of recorded material. Recently, the band has recorded more sporadically due to college pursuits made by band leaders michael and james nickras.
