    Artist History
Chris Sculch decided to start a band while doing 18 months of a 2 year prison sentence at Rahway State Prison for attempting to smuggle rectal thermometers across the Canadian border. For the last 6 months of his stay he played with 'Exercise Yard', a jazz-fusion band. They released one album, 'Live from the Cafeteria.' The single, 'Shiv', hit number 73 on the Billboard 100. In early 1995 he was paroled and since the rest of the band wasn't, they broke up. Bell Kulo, of the Zebra Big Belly Kulos, was a former powerlifter and all around tough guy. His career as a tough guy was cut short after the discovery of the infamous "UNDERPANTS PHOTO." After years of aimless wandering he ran into Sculch at a Star Trek convention, during the popular Spock Composium. He and Sculch unknowingly formed Sculch's Junk following the writing of their first song, ‘I Think I'm Turning.’ Eddie Enzyme was a lumberjack from Yugoslavia whose lumberjacking career was cut short when he cut off part of his right hand after failing to wear his hardhat. Following the accident, he decided to take up drumming, which led to the birth of his now famous “1 1/2 appendage” drumming style. Since music is forbidden in Yugoslavia, he set out on a three month donkey trek which brought him to Ellis Island. Being a newcomer to the US, he decided to become a prison pen pal. His pal? Fred “Old Lady Mugger” Ingram, percussionist for 'Exercise Yard.' Chris Sculch remembered Eddie from Old Lady Mugger's nightly reading of his letters. Sculch and Kulo asked him to play drums for them and the rest is history.
