Artist History The Voices of Light production debut album, impacts Hip-Hop and R&B music to a level of no return. Under the production of Chris A. Hernandez, along with the sounds of solo-artist and producer Justin "Illustrate" Ham. One Life, brings Christain rap-music to a level of confidence in the Born-Again Christian faith. With great inspiration, Represent's project, One Life delivers Christian rap with a complete combination of rhymes. Concocted with upbeat dance rhythms, to low hard-core urban instrumentals for all generations to enjoy. Unashamed of mockery and victorious from denominational comfort-zones. Represent confidently brings forth the Word of God. Together they combine their God-given talents to proclaim one answer for all struggles throughout life. That answer is Christ!Founded in 1997, Chris A. "Nise" Hernandez, a Denver native never thought of himself as a songwriter. Before Represent, he sought Christ for a vision for his life. In prayer, God spoke to him by revealing the talents God blessed him with. The vision of "rap-music" came about in his mind! Other than poetry and writing, he always loved the sounds of upbeat hip hop rhythms. With this, God revealed unto him a vision. Unselfish with what God had spoke to him he began to write of past experiences he had struggled through.Lyrically written, in the form of what is known as "R&B" or rhythm and blues and along with the partnership of Manuel "Lil Lito" Garcia, they brought forth to each other their own experiences and trials in their personal lives. To God's knowledge and their own faith, spiritually influenced the Christian rap group Represent. With inspiration, Christ had set forth a journey to go and teach all nations of the salvation of Jesus Christ, and create an alternative of what is publicly announced as "Rap".I Timothy 4:12 explains, "let no man deny thy youth, but be an example." This scripture biblicaly portrays the spiritual confidence Represent announces. While "rap-music" politically and socially are explicit in the general public, Represent humbely acknowledges rap-music to never be proclaimed as a device for fonication or violence. Spiritually, together they reveal the salvation of man-kind, the Living Son og God, Jesus Christ. But it doesn't stop there! Represent delivers the spiritual confidence that one must obtain to be an example to others, which is the power of the Holy Spirit to do everything as Acts 1:8 states. With the reliance of Christ, Represent maintains to impact all who have faith.One Life to live is all that He gives, for He came to die so that we might have life."A testimony is a song, by what other than our own lives can we reveal the love of Christ to others. I thank God for His light and for Him pulling me through all my struggles, now I see everything! Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world." Chris continues to state, "God has destiny for each and everyone of us. As man, we tend to overlook humility, but it is through humbleness that Christ Himself can use us for the furtherance of His Kingdom. What then is man-kinds destiny, but to represent Christ! The Bible addresses, "there are ways that appear right unto a man, but only God knows his heart!" If we then as children live for Christ, what have we done for our Father? Who do you Represent?"
