Artist History
A music buff all my life, I began writing lyrics in the late 80's upon hearing instrumental songs that I thought would be so cool with lyrics. Soon after, melodic lines, hooks, etc would pop up in my head, and I'd write out complete sets of lyrics, plot out lead and backing vocal arrangements. Over time, I was unsuccessful in finding musicians or collaborators to work with, in part because I felt inadequate in my abilities beyong writing lyrics and arrange vocals. In 1996, I got a my basic studio gear, and let it set for about a year, wondering how I use it. Then, I bought a book to learn about finger placement on a keyboard, and painstaking found myself become the musician, arranger and producer, in addtion to singer and writer. Starting in '99, I had learned quite a bit, and become more confident, and the development made great gains. I still hear the room for improvement, but I also know what I need to get there. |
