Artist description
October 1995. three professional musicians in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, decide to form a group to unite the various musical tendencies of the last few decades, without restrictions or pidgeon-oling. This union became the JAZZ CĀMERA TRIO. What does this mean! Chamber jazz! Classical music! Vanguard! Not exactly. the trio aims to represent the en-of-the-century connection between man and his culture; in other words, the enormous influences found in the collage of cultures, vogues and socialogical elements which the last quarter of this centruy has left us.In order to Fuse all these styles into ideas, the group has taken different sound bases from various stles of music. Computers, ancient eastern percussion instruments, acoustic, electric and synthesized guitars, gongs from Bali, double bass, marimba, vibraphone...all used to give the public what it nees to know to listen to improvisations of Miles Davis, Chick Corea and Dave Brubeck, or the minimalism of Rud Weiner and Paul Smadbeck. And above all, Jazz Camera Trio's own original music. |
