    Artist History
Envisioned and brought forth in May 0f 2000, Trisol GmbH recording artist DIE MY DARLING was formed by vocalist Sean D. and visionary bassist, engineer and producer F. G. Reiche. Fusing elements of Gothic, Industrial, trance-hop and rock, DMD has been described as "bitter, sexy and hard-hitting" (STARVOX) and "seductively explosive" (OUTBURN MAGAZINE). Created solely as an avenue for experimentation, DMDs' self released Ep 'Sleep' nonetheless quickly garnered the public's interest, as well as that of Europe's foremost alternative label Trisol Music Group, who quickly signed them to their roster. Recording throughout the fall of 2001, DMDs' debut disc VIRULENT was released under Trisol's wings on February 15, 2002. Mastered by Tom Baker (NIN and Manson), VIRULENT features club favorites 'Sleep' and 'Just Defy My Love,' as well as ten new tracks, including 'God Has Stopped Speaking' and 'Waiting For Dawn.' 'Pain,' the albums' first single, entered the German Alternative Charts (DAC) with a bullet upon its release, remaining in the Top 20 for eight weeks. Featured prominently in such European magazines as ZILLO, ORKUS and SONIC SEDUCER, DMD have infected the American press as well, with coverage in publications ranging from SIDE LINE, MARQUIS and GOTHIC BEAUTY. Spun heavily in alternative clubs worldwide, GOTHICRADIO.COM was the first to break the band, with station manager Jack Dean emoting that "...these progenitors of what I will term 'Darkened Intellectual Prose' fill an abyss the size of purgatory. These songs sound like they want to do you harm." DMDs' live perfomances have only served to increase this momentum, their fans' loyalty obvious with each sold-out show. "Sean's stage presence, a patented rockstar nonchalance that is practically his trademark, possesses an immediacy and sincerity that is a breath of fresh air." (GOTHIC BEAUTY)

    Press Reviews
Rain Graves, Editor of ERRATA http://www.sfgoth.com " 'Sleep' is the quintessential angst in every dark, festering, angry heart. Driving words that make you think - matching a sexy, haunting bass that actually has back-bone. Die My Darling kills with 'Sleep.' " ------------Jack Dean, Program Director GOTHICRADIO.COM "Here's a little tip for up and coming bands around the world, if you hand me a CD with a gorgeous, naked woman as cover art, the songs on it had better be able to invoke an equally as impressive emotional response. Of the three most recent submissions that fall into this category, Die My Darling's debut is the only one that measures up." "With the recent onslaught of white boy rap/rock spewing out of the airwaves these progenitors of what I will term "Darkened Intellectual Prose," fill an abyss the size of purgatory." "While some similarities between the two genre's are inevitable due to the almost spoken word aspects of the song structure, you can count on any comparisons ending there. The driving force behind this new format is intelligent lyrical content interspersed with polysyllable wording being used in context with correct grammar. (I know, strange concept by today's standards)." "The music itself has a strong structure, layering guitars, driven by a nefarious purpose on top of a malevolent electronic backbeat. These songs sound like they want to do you harm. At the same time though they are in fact very rhythmic and danceable in their nature. Someone in this band has an incredible library of creepy, industrial samples and you will find them strategically placed throughout each song." "While this CD may not be for everyone, if you prefer Byron to Britney and Stoker to Slipknot, this may just be the musical evolution you have been waiting for." -------Davi Lovatt, Editor of HOUSE OF THE SUCCUBUS "'Sleep,' the title track from DMD's debut single combines all at once a unique blend of gothic/spoken word/rock and industrial. Instrumentation is cleverly thought out and sparse for the majority of the song, allowing Sean D. to pour out the emphasis on his vocals and (deliver) the lyrics with (a) desired silken effect smoothly across to the listener.""The (present) maturity of Sean's voice from his days in 'The Dolls' is evident, and gone is the nasal style that was also noticeable in 'Smack.' I'd say this guys voice sure has a sexual appeal to all ladies out there, contrasting with the stabbing harsh guitars, like a silk glove dragged over shards of broken glass.""A must for fans of things that are deliciously and darkly different." DJ Xian, Gothic/Industrial Content Programmer for WWW.COM "An intense parallel to the anxieties of present day, the confrontational lyrics of Die My Darling will not be ignored. I found myself listening attentively to the said and unsaid words of 'Sleep,' recognizing the pent up frustration and an intense rage. I can only smile, knowing the lengths to which they will push this manifestati
