Artist History
This is The Midwesterners second album on Darlingtone Records. The first CD was released in 1992, and the newest one was released in Oct. 2000. The brainchild of Richard Wiegel, who wrote the songs, established the label, and promotes the band. The band is from Madison, Wisconsin, and performs in and around the area. |

Group Members
Richard Wiegel, songwriter and organizer. Mark Haines, drummer and co-producer, who also engineered on Son Volt's 'Straightaways', and produced Rainer Maria, a band who made it onto Spin magazines top 20 album list for 1999. Mark works at Smart Studios, home of Butch Vig and Garbage in Madison. Frank Anderson, steel guitar player and music video producer for Purple Onion in Milwaukee, WI. Frank produced the video for 'Carolina' off the self-titled first Midwesterner CD. Other videos to his credit are The Spanic Boys and The Riptones. |
