Artist History
socialburn...one would think that the very idea of this band would blow away with the wind of the predominately redneck, country music loving community that it was conceived in. None of this, however, would stop Neil Alday (lead vocals, guitar) from pouring his heart out onto paper, while inviting his friends Chris Cobb (guitar), Brandon Bittner (drums), and Dusty Price (bass, backing vocals) to give life to his lyrics. What started out as jam sessions in a vacant upstairs room in Neil's house, has become one of the top requested local acts in Tallahassee, Florida...and in only three years. After adding Chris to the band in the summer of 2000, they met Terry Clark. He listened to a couple of songs, but listening would not be enough for Terry. He heard something in the music that was being played, and it was something he liked. He quickly became their manager, and in-turn introduced them to Bobby Salvaggio. Bobby must have liked what he was hearing too, because he is the producer of socialburn's second album, World Outside, which is due out in mid- to late-April 2001. They even managed to catch the eye of John Kurzweg, producer for rock superstar Creed. After countless shows, endless promotion, very hard work, support from friends, and a little radio station in Tallahassee called X101.5, socialburn is going to be a band to watch for this year. Hell, even the rednecks like 'em. |
