Artist History The debut single entitled Free from Pop artist Naïma spent over 27 weeks at # 1 in the Urban/R&B charts on indielaunch.com With over 9000 downloads on MP3.com her song Im On My Way reached the # 9 spot on the Adult Contemporary charts and she has been featured on numerous music websites inlcuding indie-connections.com. Her songs make you want to move, and are never without a thought provoking lyric. Naïma's lyrics delve into universally appealing topics of personal struggle and finding inner strength in order to overcome adverse circumstances. Naïma was named after the famous John Coltrane ballad. The daughter of jazz musicians, she could not escape being immersed in the jazz and blues idioms. Joining forces with husband producer DJ PWM, fusing together her influence of pop music and his influence of electronic and dance, they have created their own soulful pop sound.
