The track Texas Two Step received international spins and in time logged 22 weeks on Canada's music trade listing RPM National Country 100 peaking at number 26 in May 1999.Kevin is actively promoting his new Rhythm Cat Records release teaser tracks VOLUME ONE containing two intensely moving originals Only You Girl and Almost Touch The Sky.

Press Reviews Thunder Bay Ontario recording artist, Kevin Waara has been nominated as "Outstanding New Male Vocalist" for the 25th Anniversary Big Country Awards to be held on June 09, 2000 @ The Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The event will be taped by CMT to be televised nationally at a later date. Nominations for Big Country Awards are based on weekly chart positions in the Canadian national music trade publication, RPM. The song, "Texas Two Step" from Kevin's "HorsePlay" cd logged an impressive 22 weeks on the RPM National Country 100 Chart, peaking @ no. 26 in May, 1999. This song, as well as others from the 'HorsePlay" cd received extensive airplay in Canada and Europe.
