Artist description
Ever since the inception of modern rock music there have been bands that are driven by a specific vision of who they want to be , how they want to be labeled and how they wish to be perceived. But now and again there appear groups on the scene that are willing to break the mold and let their music have its own voice, not satisfied with the limitations of conventional wisdom or with the striving to fit in with the “hot new sound” of the day. Call it an experiment, if you will, but some of the best sounds in music have come from groups that have allowed their songwriting a more spontaneous environment in which to flourish and grow, and whose main goal in playing has been to share the joy of creating music with their listeners. It’s an honest approach to music that is as old as music itself, and one that has always been a part of Delinquent Seven. Hailing from Rockford, Illinois, Delinquent Seven brings a level of musicianship and a genuine love of music that connects instantly with its audience, combining a wide array of influences to achieve a sound that, while not always easily categorized, is fresh and approachable. Freedom to express oneself has been the foundation for this band, (Scott "Dae" Sherry: Vocals, John Randolph: Guitar and Vocals, Joel DeLuna: Drums and Vocals, and Scott Andrews: Vocals and Bass) which has drawn these members to be a close knit family. Each member of this band has a unique voice which enhances the music they play and write. In this way, the spectrum of creativity is wide open and you immediately grasp the essence of Delinquent Seven. |
