Artist History
Serge Bringolf is the man behind Cyborg Desire. In the 80´s and 90´s he was known as drummer of such famous artists like Vangelis, Jaco Pastorius, Bireli Lagrene, Michel Portal, H.Hopper, R.Sinclair, Yochk´o Scheffer, Siegfrid Kessler, Harold Singer, , Cristian Escoude and Steve Potts, who used him on tours and for studiowork because of his own personal sound and expression.As a musician complete, - he studied also saxophone at the Academy of Music of Strabourg / France, he needed to found very soon his own bands as Utopie, Serge Bringolf Strave, Serge Bringolf Group to feel free to express himself and produce his own records. He has also created the bilingual rock opera "The Hooligan" by demand of the general Council of Strasbourg / France, because of his experience in composition and his vocal work. Serge Bringolf performed as soloist and in ensemble on many contemporary music creations: among the notable events are the Atelier Lyrique du Rhin, the Third Meeting of Electronic Music, Musica, Ensemble Accroche-Note.At his time at Paris in the beginning 90´s he helped to realize several "World Music" productions, including those of FALAK with the famous setar master Reza Ghassemi and CHAKARA.1994 he played in the United States.After his return at Strasbourg he found the Group CYBORG DESIRE, which allows him to enter all his influences and experiences for creating his explosive musical mixture of Funk, Rock, Soul and Jazz. The guitarist Juergen Pecher entered the group 1998 and a rich musical partnership between this two guys was born. Listen and enjoy!! |
