Artist description
Charisse is a versatile singer who is equally
comfortable singing jazz or hard rock whenever
the mood takes her. Listening to music from
artists including Soundgarden, Muse,
Suze DeMarchi and Tori Amos, it was inevitable
that Charisse's original material would be an
eclectic mix of layback grooves and energetic
rock tunes. The first track "Not The One" is
a catchy pop tune produced with Paul Wiltshire.
The next 3 tracks "See Thru Me", "Down Again"
and "Forever Now" have been recorded by
Nicky Bomba with a much edgier sound. These
songs are included in a demo CD she hopes will
receive favourable response from label execs.
Charisse has also co-written and recorded some
more electronic-based songs with Hani Banna and
the Fortie Thieves. Take It And Run has been
the most successful track resulting from this
partnership, staying at #1 on mp3 for around
10 weeks from October 2000. |
