Artist History AsEyeAm was founded in autumn 1998 by Oemer Hamzaoglu, the vocalist/bassist of Cologne's Black-Metal-Band "Dakria" and of Bonn's Death-Metal-Band "Syre" and was created as an one-man-project to try out different musical ideas which would not have fit into musical styles of the bands. Because of having released a MCD with each band, the idea of a "homegrown" production was born. Both MCD's, Dakria's "Immortal Silent Heaven" and Syre's "Between Fate & Fortune" found a very good response in the metal-underground.In summer 1999 Oemer quit Dakria and decided to continue on his own. Dakria's guitarist Martin Schaefer also left the band and became a member of AsEyeAm.
