Artist History
The Leng Dynasty began in 1997 as a songwriting collaboration between Leng Boonwaat (keyboards, vocals) and James Paterson (electric and acoustic guitars). The "Afternoon Affair" DAM CD, completed in February 1999, contained the first fruits - 12 songs - of our collaboration. This CD consists of basically "singer-songwriter" stuff, with some stabs at combining this genre with contemporary dance beats. This CD is not representative of what we are doing now. After we made it, we began moving into dance pop. Three of the four tracks that are available for download on this page are experiments made in late 1999 and early 2000 using samples and newly acquired music software. We are no longer posting new tracks on this site, though. It's not really worth the effort, as there as simply too many artists for very many people to find us here anymore. For our latest, and most confident effort yet, please go to www.garageband.com (why not sign up as a music reviewer - it's a lot more proactive that rooting about for the good stuff on mp3.com) to download our well-received track "Inquisition." This is the best track we've so far made available on the Net, and sets the scene for the CD we're currently working on, which should be ready for release early next year. We are also writing songs and producing recordings for a new "boy band" called 20:20. |
