Scott was born in Alameda, California in 1957, and moved to Los Angeles area soon after. He tried his hands in many different music trade jobs since the age of 15. This led to playing electric bass in musicals, club bands and studio gigs where he met such artists as Frank Zappa, Todd Rudgren, Peter Gabriel, LTD, Buddy Miles, Buddy Colette, Herb Albert, John Denver and many more.. In 1979 Scott Relocated to Northern California and joined up with several bands, notably " The Replacements" and "The New Mysteries". After several offers to record and perform in the San Francisco area, Scott then made his next move to work at Guitar Center learning the musical instrument retail business. For five years, Scott ran a music department or managed the S.F. Store, which allowed him to work around such notable artists as: Huey Lewis and the News,, Carlos Santana, Jefferson Starship, The Tubes, Chris Isaak, Ronnie Montrose, Group 87, Pablo Cruise., and earned him a platinum record with the band "JOURNEY". In 1989 Scott settled down in Cameron Park, California with his wife Viki and daughter Amanda. His tenure as a owner of Ace in the Hole Music/BackStage Music Services, is spent running a music publishing business and a teaching studio along with his own Music Retail Outlet " MUSIC TRADING POST" in the heart of Placerville, California. When he met Jerry Chuculate in 1995. Scott has been writing Ballads, Country and Pop songs ever since. **************** Jerry's Music has always had a positive influence in his life. He Started playing the guitar in 1971 and eventually became part of the ensemble at the Bell Gardens and Norwalk Assembly of God church in Southern California. The sounds of traditional southern gospel, country, pop and rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's would influence his own performing and playing style (1966-1976). The next four years he attended a variety of church ministry training programs offered at the Downey and Whittier Calvary Chapel church which he received training in music directing missionary work and bible study leadership skills in southern California. (1976-1980). In 1982 Jerry relocated to Sacramento where he helped create and co-direct a worship and praise ensemble at the Calvary Chapel of Placerville and the Vineyards Christian Fellowship church in Sacramento, Ca. Musically this was the turning point in Jerry's life to begin to write and sing with much more commitment,(1982-1991). By 1995 Jerry began studying with pianist Reggie Graham and Guitarist Michael Gregory, both recording artist from the Sacramento area. He studied songwriting with songwriter/musician Andre Pessis, in San Francisco, and songwriter/musician Eric Chun, Professor of Music at American River College, Sacramento, Ca He also had the privilege to perform at the Sacramento Music Awards (The Sammies) with Asylum Records recording Artist Kevin Sharp. Today Jerry is continuing to write, arrange, produce, and perform, collaborate with Scott Tegarden. Together they are building a catalog of original songs, products and musical services |
