Artist History Spindrift got its roots back in 1990. Starting out the same way any other band does in a basement playing as loud as they could and getting nowhere. Early in 1991 the group decided it was time to take it outside and make something happen. Spindrift began doing the small Delaware circuit with a pretty good response. After 5 Cassette releases a few 45s’ and 2 lineup changes Strange Range was released Oct 1996. This freshman CD sold maybe 500 copies locally. The group was discouraged and the future looked pretty grim. After doing anything possible to get recognized the group caught the eye of producer Bill Grabowski. It was 1998 and a production deal was proposed. Well, two members didn’t like it and dropped out, the group picked up drummer Zac Hansen and guitarist Lief Carney. 350 hours later We Come From The United States was completed and released. A year in the making and quite a mind trip, Lief Carney went off to a Solo career. With the loss of another guitarist the band found Blair Warner in a local music store and the current lineup was set. Spindrifts live show is now stronger than ever bringing more response from the younger crowd. The CD was released Mid-July and the group went out on the road for a seven day mini-tour through the South East. Spindrift grabbed HUGE interest from the southern kids and hope to go back out very soon.
