Artist description
You’ve never heard anything like Maschina. It’s
instrumentation alone breaks the boundaries of
rock: vocals, bass, and drums are combined with
an electric trumpet that will make you question
any need for a guitar. The band creates a truly
live experience integrating intense musical ideas
with an exciting and often hysterical stage show.
The music ranges from a two-minute bombastic rock
tune to a twelve-minute spiraling improvisation. |

Artist History
Maschina was formed in 1997 in Ann Arbor, MI. All
four members of the group attended the University
of Michigan's School of Music and spent their
nights playing at area clubs. While in school the
band ammassed a fanatical following and strong
reputation for their incredible live shows. In the
summer of 1998 Maschina moved to Chicago where
they now live, practice, and write...together.
They currently perform in cities throughout the
Midwest and East Coast and are always on the
lookout for new audiences to play for. |

Press Reviews
"Maschina is the most sonically theatrical band
I've seen in ages."{Wendy Case, The Detroit News}
"...Black Sabbath meets Captain Beefheart vs.
Ethyl Merman."{Orbit Magazine}
"...What's certain: it's almost unbelievably
techinically proficient; it's got speedmetal
energy and Zappa-esque complexity. It's very funny.
And it's a hell of a lot of fun."{David Livingstone,
