Artist description A Christian band whose musical influence came out of the midwest rock sound of the 70's. The members of Groundwork all grew up in the Midwest, listening to the sounds of Rush,Gennesis,Chicago,Pink Floyd, and Kansas. When they became christian musicians, those styles of music stayed with them. The mixtures of musical styles within the band produced a sound which their audiences found hard to pinpoint. The band members themselves found themselves in the same dilema. Finally, the description became just "Groundwork". Groundwork full heartily believes it's principal function was to spread the word of Jesus and the salvation message. In fact, the name Groundwork was speciffically picked for the double meaning of initial foundational work of spreading the Gospel, and meaning work here on Earth.
