Cross-genre, gorgeous, experimental is what you'll find here. Refusing to be pidgeon-holed into one genre, Dogon play the music they feel. Influences appear from South American sounds, spoken word samples, weird bloops and bleeps and gorgeous melodic passages.

Artist History Formed in Venezuela in 1988, the band is essentially a duo of native Venezuelan Miguel Noya and San Franciscan Paul Godwin. They met while students at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1981. They first formed a synth punk band called Dog 46 using Arp 2600 for all drums and sounds. They toured Venezuela in 1987 and recorded their first self titled album there, now out-of-print. Their tour was shut down by countrywide riots and Godwin returned to the U.S. In 1996, Godwin formed NEWdOG Music in San Francisco and Noya returned to record their first NEWdOG CD
