Artist description
Described as a cross between Alice Cooper and the Ramones, Chump is an original hard rock band. Rock with a punk edge.
Lyrically, their songs deal with everyday life and situations; their live sound is very full for a three-piece band, and the band adds some theatrics to its stage show, although by design they do not waste time between songs. A Chump show is full speed ahead.
Their originals have very catchy hooks and counter hooks, and the few covers that they play show imagination.

Press Reviews
"Chump brings some unusual lyrics to the table." - 5:00 Friday, Florence SC
"I've said many times that it was time for rock and roll to find its balls again and Chump has balls! If it's stripped down, straight up rock and roll you're looking for, check them out." - Charleston's Free Time
"It is evident that the band's name isn't a description of its members or the music. Chump and its musical sound is a little bit hard rock & roll, not the kind of stuff chumps can make up." - Florence Morning News
"Chump keeps the name in your face, you can't forget about them. And that's the best way to describe their music as well. In your face, hard as nails, and raunchy. While the music is buzz saw raw, they tend to include some very clever lyrics and subject matter." - Charleston's Free Time
