Artist History Bio/Press release While the formation of this band was the brainchild of drummer Gary Yek, he never imagined that the spark he ignited would become the explorative rock combo known as The Sara Hollister Band. First came the commitment from long-time partner, Sergio Castro on bass. These guys were the drum-n-bass anchor in the band Steam Shovel for several years. Next, guitar virtuoso/vocalist Paul Emersun provided the third dimension needed to construct a power-trio ready to take on modern rock. But it was the final addition to the line-up that gave this band its heart, soul & edge - vocalist Sara Hollister. Sara’s engaging vocal presence, confident command of the stage and soul-revealing lyrics deliver an unmistakable message to all who listen. Sara, Paul, Sergio & Gary get their biggest high from live performance but the synergy of writing/recording is a close second. Even though rock has been around forever now, you can expect a fresh statement, with attitude from The Sara Hollister Band.
